Mark is an engineer and entrepreneur who loves the creative, chaotic excitement of launching a new company. Mark began his career in the wireless industry and was part of the founding team at four startups, including Telecorp PCS, which was acquired by AT&T in 2002. Mark co-founded Acta Wireless in 2004 with Alan MacIntosh and led its investments in LaunchBox Digital, CardStar, Imagine K12 and Actium Advisors. Mark was also instrumental in Acta’s founding role in Montreal Startup and Real Ventures. Mark serves on the board of directors of Actium Advisors, Causemo, ChallengeU, Just Push Pay, Oohlala Mobile, the Mobile Giving Foundation, NextNav, Sweet Relish and WaveMetrix. Earlier in his career, Mark served as an officer in the United States Air Force during the first Gulf War. He holds BSEE and MSEE degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Mark lives near Charlotte with his wife two children.
