We are pleased to announce our latest investment, Localmind. Robert Scoble described Localmind as the birthchild of Quora and Foursquare – real time location based Q & A. Localmind launched at SXSW this year and was one of the highlights of the event.
For us, our investment decisions are mainly about people and this one is no exception. The founders Lenny and Beau are truly exceptional founders and we can’t wait to see where they take this business.
This round was led by Granite Ventures and we are part of a great investment group that includes iNovia Capital and some great angels.
Localmind is at the intersection of some big trends – local, mobile, Q & A. We think there is huge potential in both the end user service and the rich set of APIs that they are now making available.
